Congress leaders, including AICC General Secretary Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, gathered in Uri, Baramulla on October 15, 2023, to address the Voter Adhikar Samelan. The event aimed to enhance voter participation and awareness in the region.
Organized by former minister Shri Taj Mohiuddin, the Voter Adhikar Samelan saw attendance from key political figures, including JKPCC President Shri Tariq Hameed Karra, and AICC General Secretary, CLP Leader Shri G.A. Mir. This gathering highlights Congress’s commitment to advocating voter rights.
During the Samelan, leaders discussed the significance of voting as a fundamental right. They urged citizens to actively participate in the electoral process and ensure their voices are heard. Dr. Hussain emphasized, “Each vote matters, and it is essential for the democratic fabric of our nation.”
Moreover, several senior legislators participated, showing strong representation from the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference. Notable attendees included former ministers like G.M. Saroori and current MLAs Nizamuddin Bhat, Irfan Lone, and Abid Kashmiri.
