Amit Shah Participates in Navratri Puja at Sharda Temple in Kashmir

NEW DELHI, Oct 16: On Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the Navratri puja at the Sharda temple in Kashmir. This marked a significant occasion as it was the first time the puja had been held at the temple since 1947, symbolizing the return of peace to the Valley. During the event, Minister Shah emphasized that this temple’s puja signifies the resurgence of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Navratri Puja took place at the newly constructed Sharda temple, situated along the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Kashmir. The temple was inaugurated by Minister Shah on March 23, 2023, on the same piece of land and following the same architectural pattern as the pre-partition Sharda temple. A deeply spiritual moment, the resumption of Navratri pujas at the historic Sharda Temple after more than seven decades not only represents the return of tranquility to the valley but also symbolizes the revival of India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, guided by Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji’s leadership. The event attracted a large number of pilgrims from all corners of the country, underlining its significance in uniting people in faith and tradition.
